Our health system is in crisis. Chronic under-funding has put many DHBs, including our own Mid-Central, into deficit. Doctors and ambulance drivers are in disputes about their pay and conditions. Emergency departments are full of families who can't afford to go to the doctor.
National's failure to fund the health system sufficiently to account for population growth and inflation means there is $1.7 billion missing from the health budget. You can't starve our health services and not expect something to break.
Come to hear real people talk about their experiences with the health system and then hear from Labour's Health Spokesperson Annette King about what Labour plans to do about it.
